Park Sutton Represents Boston Area RIA in Transaction with Creative Planning
New York, NY, June 3, 2022– Park Sutton Advisors LLC (“PSA”) is pleased to have represented Ferris Capital on its acquisition by Creative Planning (“Creative”), an RIA managing $225 billion in traditional wealth management and 401(k) assets.
Headquartered in Southborough, Massachusetts, Ferris Capital was founded by David Ferris, a former wirehouse advisor who went independent in 2012. Ferris Capital, focused on financial planning for high-net-worth individuals, managed $755 million in assets.
David Ferris, founder and CEO of Ferris Capital, said, “The entire Ferris Capital team is excited to become part of Peter’s impressive operation. It is clear to everyone in our organization that our ability to serve our clients will be substantially enhanced thanks to the world-class team that Peter has assembled at Creative over many years. Peter’s vision and commitment to transparent fiduciary investing with low-cost index funds, coupled with tax and planning experts, CPAs and attorneys, made this an easy decision to expand our offerings to clients on the East and West Coasts.”
“Creative Planning is excited to bring Dave and the Ferris Capital team into the fold and expand our reach into the Massachusetts market. It was evident from the very beginning that the core values at Ferris Capital aligned with our core values here at Creative Planning. These similarities in our underlying philosophies of how we do business should make for a very smooth and successful transition as we aim to provide excellent service to our clients around the world,” said Peter Mallouk, Creative’s majority owner and CEO.
Park Sutton Founder and Managing Director, Steven Levitt, who led the transaction, said, “David and the Ferris Capital Team were amazing to work with. They knew they wanted to enhance their capabilities and resources in order to better serve their existing clients, while also adding capacity to grow. Creative Planning enables them to do so. Ferris, in turn, enables Creative to deepen its penetration of metro Boston.”
